There’s no real easy way to go about with this update so I was hoping that the title would make things easier…Here it goes…Let me start off by saying that this site, RNazaire.com, has been nothing short of a welcome challenge that I’ve been waiting to take on for a very, very long time. If it wasn’t obvious, a profession in writing is a long term goal/dream of mine, but I also realize that there are still day-to-day things that I need to focus on in the meantime.

I feel as though it would only be right to tell you to hold off on reading the review until you watch the film for yourself. In case you would like to hear more about the title without spoilers, let’s just say that this film really did it for me. Though with a cast, director, score, and production like that, it would be very hard to drop the ball on this one.

It was a long time coming, but I finally got around to making navigating the site more convenient to you, the readers. A little history behind this: I’ve come to notice that the majority of people know more about the day Biggie died as opposed to the day he was born? Kind of a paradox, don’t you think? I also prefer focusing on May 21st as opposed to March 9th seeing how it kind of overshadows my birthday and all. Nothing personal…

Let’s just say it’s been a long week…for almost three months…

What. A. Week. Just a quick update on what could’ve been: I was working on a Top Billing: Nas project for the site with a show that took place this weekend being the final piece of the puzzle. As things turned out, I got a lot more from that show than expected. So much so that I decided to compile a project that will take it to the next level. The release of this project will be disclosed at a later time but trust me, it’ll be well worth the time.

More times often than not, Life has a very interesting way of coming together. When thinking of how to start things off for this month, I was kind of at a standstill. I have special certain Album Reviews lined up this month, so I didn’t want to overdo it when it comes to Top Billing.

And as far as features go, there are ones that just make more sense to be released at a later date. With new additions to the Image Galleries being out of the picture – no pun intended – I decided to look at what the month of May means as a whole and given the options, I found one that really stuck out: Haitian Heritage Month.

This past April has been one to remember. For one, I found myself actually looking forward to stepping up to the challenges that have presented themselves. I have also come to embrace this as more than ‘just a website,’ and I am really impressed at the steps that have been taken towards improving things for the better. With that said, I have thought long and hard about some decisions that deal with RNazaire.com.

I’m not too sure where to start on this one…Between the last update and now, I’ve made a couple of changes here and there with the most notable one being the ‘Entries’ section. Formerly ‘RICKonBLOG,’ I did some work to make the changes from last year’s way of doing things that more obvious.

From there, this month has put a lot of things on my to-do list. I never looked at this as a way to vent or anything, but the entry I put together was written to shed light on some recent events: “Balance.” Last but not least, I’m pleased to announce the namesake of this update which is newest addition to the Top Billing library: Top Billing – Rihanna. In the same vein of what was done with Tyler, the Creator, I put together a piece on Ms. Fenty and reviewed two of her most recent albums: Talk That Talk (2011) and Unapologetic (2012).

New month, New Season, New everything. Going off of the title, its Back to Business. Vacation, for what its worth, was very good. It was great to see familiar faces, and it was even better to get insight on a lot of things. The majority of upcoming entries will show that and the most obvious example is through the newest addition to the Image Gallery, “Away From It All.”

Hello again. The hardest part about putting this entry together was probably the title. I wanted to reference entries that I put out around this time last year but then I realized that the last entry of 2012 was ‘Not For Play.’ Speaking of that, I think this year’s follow-up was done really well. For those interested, I posted a feature titled “Swag, Yolo, and the Self–Destructive Nature of Today’s Youth” that’s a pretty interesting read if I may say so myself.

Buon Giorno again. For the past couple of days, I was trying to figure out which was the best way to go about updating on and around my birthday. While I didn’t want to do a complete blowout like I did with the original Not For Play, I still wanted to do something that would really stand out.

One of the first things I did when I came home was shut off my alarms. They range everyday, anywhere from 5am to 8am depending on what is going on, but I didn’t even have to worry about that. Things like work, the grind, and playing with time haven’t even crossed my mind.

The closest thing to ‘work’ I’ve done lately has been me playing Mr. Bigshot: Making calls, meeting up with people, and all of that tom-foolery. So far, it’s been pretty good and part of me wishes it could be like this forever, but its true when they say that all good things must come to an end.

The weeks and months leading up to this vacation have been interesting to say the least. When it came down to the wire, it seemed like something out of the blue came again and again again for more “story of my life” moments I get all too often but through it all I made it, and we’re here.

After what seemed to be the one of the longest weeks in recent memory, I’m glad to say that this weekend was very much appreciated and well spent. And by well spent, I mean I finally caught up on a lot of the sleep I missed out on earlier in the week. That and I was able to bring my tablet back into commission which is just in time for (and a perfect chance to bring up) my flight out home this week.

Buon Giorno. Whether you are new to the site, or all too familiar with this project, consider this a re-introduction to the one formerly known as “RICKisBOSS”.

Needless to say, that was a bit rude, but not as rude as not getting everyone on the same page. While there is content lined up for you the reader to view at your leisure, I definitely recommend the featured “Why We Fall” and the considerably less lengthy “End of an Era” to give you an idea of what is going on.

Did you check out the site for my photos? No problem – The updated Image Gallery has three new albums with 25 original photos each: that’s seventy-five more reasons to keep an eye on what’s been going on, and what’s to come.
